Building good KARMA.
KARMALab is a pilot project for establishing a contemporary Cambodian musical theatre development pathway. Participants will become the first cast of KARMA whilst actively developing and refining their skills in performance.
We are currently seeking performers interested in being part of the first cohort of KARMALab.
Whether you have professional experience or are just beginning your journey, we are looking for individuals who are curious, committed, and excited to grow through collaboration.

KARMALab is a chance to build skills in musical theatre, alongside the development of a new musical.
The program is a hybrid training experience combining:
• vocal performance
• acting
• movement
• ensemble development
• mentorship opportunitiesParticipants will work closely with the creative team behind KARMA as well as local and international industry experts.
The program will culminate in an intimate presentation of the musical in February 2027.

We are seeking 8–10 participants who are able to sing and act confidently. Previous experience in musical theatre is not required. You may be a seasoned professional or a talented beginner.
We are looking for people who are:
• committed

• creatively curious
• passionate about storytelling and performanceEnglish-language ability is helpful, but applicants do not need to be fluent.

KARMALab is a serious long-term development program.
Participants must be prepared to:
• attend regular workshops and rehearsals
• commit to ensemble development
• actively participate throughout the program duration
• work collaboratively and professionallyFurther scheduling details will be discussed with shortlisted applicants.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an in-person audition and workshop session.
Applicants may be asked to:
• perform a short song
• participate in movement exercises
• read scenes
