Audition Tips
Read the scene several times
Take time to understand what your character wants, who they are speaking to, and what is at stake in the scene.
Focus on storytelling
We are less interested in perfect performances and more interested in seeing how you connect with the story and communicate it to an audience.
Learn the song as best you can
Focus on the lyrics, meaning, and emotion of the song rather than trying to sing it perfectly.
Make bold choices
Don't be afraid to bring your own interpretation to the character. We would rather see a strong choice than a safe one.
Be yourself
We are not looking for people to imitate professional performers. We want to see your personality, authenticity, and unique perspective.
Take your time
It's okay to pause, breathe, and collect your thoughts. Auditions can be nerve-racking, and everyone feels nervous.
Listen
Acting is not just about speaking. Listen to the other characters in the scene and respond truthfully to what is happening.
Enjoy the process
This is an opportunity for us to meet you and for you to learn more about the project. We want the audition room to be a welcoming and supportive space.1.
